  3. Makes the mark have a fixed width, chosen optimally for the situation, instead of widening to fit whatever subexpression it contains.

  5. Turn this on if you want the fences to appear above and below the enclosed expression, for instance, for horizontal braces.

  7. Makes the fence appear on the right side only.
  8.  
  9. Makes the fence appear on the left side only.

  11. Normally, all matrix elements have padding space all around.  If you want padding to be removed from the far edges, enable this option.
  12.  
  13. This is the preferred setting for matrices with lots of numbers in them.
  14.  
  15. This is the preferred setting for most matrices.
  16.  
  17. If your matrix has elements that are different heights, this will make the matrix more compact.
  18.  
  19. This is the normal setting.
  20.  
  21. Number of rows high the matrix should be.  (There are other ways to add or remove rows; see the manual.)
